Jamberry Nails Trail Blazes in Nail Art, Business Model and Customization Abilities

LINDON, UT – Jamberry Nails is a Utah-based direct-selling company that has become a household name in less than two years for their easy-to-apply long-lasting nail wraps.

The company started with three sisters. Keri, Christy and Lyndsey are best friends who became business partners in 2010. They launched Jamberry Nails for women just like themselves who want perfectly manicured nails while running from the gym to school drop offs to work and back again.

“It had to be doable for people that don’t necessarily do “girly” stuff, “ explains Lyndsey, the youngest of the Jamberry Sisters, “It had to be easy to follow, last a long time and of course be stylish and personal in a way that would speak to a woman’s personal tastes.”

After playing with some different materials they settled on a resilient vinyl-based formula as the canvas for their creatively designed nail shields that could be applied at home with a simple heat and pressure technique using a standard hairdryer. “We exhibited at a trade show and the response was incredible,” says Keri, the eldest of the three, “everyone wanted to have nail parties with their friends and it became clear that the social aspect should be an important part of the Jamberry business.”

Launched March 1, 2013 is the first ever Nail Art Studio, an online customization tool so anyone can create personalized nail wraps by simply uploading their own pattern, graphic design or photo at jamberrynails.com. This promises to be the ultimate tool for everyone from beauty junkies looking to personalize their routine to small businesses looking for unique and creative ways to market to women. Jamberry Nails custom designs will also make for meaningful personalized gifts, party favors, and a creative way to celebrate brides and mommies-to-be, graduates, star athletes and more. While standard Jamberry Nail wraps retail for $15 per sheet, customized styles will retail for $25 per sheet. One can usually get up to three applications from one pack of standard Jamberry Nails, and it will vary with customized nail wraps based on the design submitted.

Spring Cleaning? I want your junk!

You'd be amazed at what I can make out of junk!  Just a few months ago I saw this broken cabinet door sitting on my neighbor's curb:

A few days later, I got a call from a client, she wanted me to do a custom piece with some heirloom photos and pages from her great grandmother's bible.  Here's how it turned out:

What do you think?
Here's what my client said (in an e-mail to our entire networking group!): Noel just delivered a custom art piece I had her do for me - it is beautiful. She used my great-grandmother's old Bible (the pages that were falling out, some of the doilies GGM made, a peacock feather tucked in the Bible, old photos I had, etc. I was thrilled. See the photo of it below - she used an old cabinet door that had a glass face for the frame.
If you are cleaning out your closets and attics, garages and basements, please take a look at this list!  Plus, you can save up to $10.00 off of your [ReDeemed] purchase when you recycle the following items:

Eco-Chic Valentines - 2nd Personalized Reverse Applique Pillow

Here's another pillow I made using the steps in the tutorial.

It was made in a smaller size for a toddler, using all brand-new materials: white flannel with pink dots and pink polished cotton peeking through for the letters.

Several people have asked, and I am considering adding this to my custom order list with a price of $65.00, including the pillow insert and S&H.  What do you think?

Silver Sunday, number 1

Welcome to the very first Silver Sunday Blog Party, hosted by Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal!

I'm late to the party, and completely undressed!  It's like one of those nightmares where you show up and you're naked, only you are the last one to know!

So, I'm stalling and scrambling... but here are my contributions!

Custom memorial piece for a client's coworker who passed away before Christmas. The angel is [ReDeemed] from a keychain, the charm at the bottom is a formerly lonely sterling silver earring. The framed art is a hand-tinted hymnal page "Onward Christian Soldiers" with a heart and swirls, reverse has the initial of the young woman who passed away. (SOLD)

Silver Cross: Features hand-tinted cross set on a hand-tinted antique hymnal page (a blank one from the back). In a discarded (but beautiful) silver frame - tabletop or hanging display. apx. 9'x9' (SOLD)

"Amazing Grace" 2" square glass pendant, silver-tone frame. The background is a hand-tinted vintage hymnal page with hand-tinted heart and die-cut cross and swirls. The reverse features more of the hymn and a hand-stamped heart with die cut swirls. Attached to a leather cord embelished with [ReDeemed] silver beads from a vintage necklace, apx. 18"
(SEE - I did have some vintage silver in here!) (SOLD)

It is a [ReDeemed] cabinet door with aproximately 25 old-time favorites like
"Amazing Grace", "Old Time Religion", and "Power in the Blood".

What would you choose for a custom order?
