 Empowered Women of Social Media

About the book:

Compiled by Carla Wynn Hall, author of The Paradigm: Success Codes for Life and the founder of the Women's Empowerment Network, a Facebook Support group with over "25,000" members - Empowered Women of Social Media: 44 Women found their Voices using the Power of Social Networking is a book about women who were able to write their story and have their voice be heard. Read the stories of women who have survived breast cancer, were born with Cerebral Palsy and conquered misconceptions to become published authors, brave women who escaped domestic violence as well as educational material from experts in the fields of social media and marketing.

When you read this book think about how social media has impacted your life. Our life coaches give you tips from their programs and our health coaches show you how to incorporate holistic and healthy habits into your life. Each author has a vibrant story, a unique style and a message hidden within.

Social Media is a unique form of communication. Some women said that they were a little skeptical about Facebook until they found support. Compiler Carla Wynn Hall says "Facebook saved her life" during a time of emotional turbulence. VIP Angel Sponsor Elizabeth Hassan writes from Australia about how Facebook and the Internet in general has helped her friend Sarah who has "Liver Cancer" to find support groups to help her heal. The stories go on and on and each one is worthy of your attention.

You can learn more about each author and endorser at our website www.EmpoweredWomenofSocialMedia.com

We proudly support the Breast Cancer Foundation and Break the Silence against Domestic Violence and our women who have written their story so their voice can be heard. Women women write, the whole world is a better place to be.

Life is short, another reminder

I learned yesterday that while the rest of us were celebrating the nation's birthday, a friend of ours was beginning the long journey of grief over losing his father. To compound the loss, it was at the hands of a criminal, who broke into his home and shot him with his own gun. While his wife was upstairs.

I'm confident there will be much speculation, commentary and debate on gun control, security, religion, and being "right with God". What I'd like to point out is that he was "Right with People". I went to his Facebook page and found this heartwarming, heartbreaking and encouraging interaction between he and a friend:

It's My Two Year JAMiversary!

Two years ago today, I joined Jamberry as an Independent Consultant.
I am so amazed! In these two years...

Over a Million dollars in sales,

1150+ team members, many leaders promoting in our GLOW Girls team,

I personally have achieved Sr. Executive (level 10 out of 13 in our career plan!)

and became a member of the founders club (one of 30 so far!),

earned an incentive trip (1 of 57)

- thousands of dollars in commissions and bonuses,

over 100 parties, hundreds of customers...

And close to 50 events!

But still, my favorite parts?

Watching someone's eyes light up when they file the extra off the end of the nail and say "OMG - that's it?" .... Hearing a team member's excitement over achieving her first goals ... seeing leaders emerge and train their teams...
Getting to teach a class on entrepreneurship and marketing to a Girl Scout troop (they gave me Thin Mints!!!)

And most of all, the friends that I've made...

This product, business and industry changes lives! I am in love!!!

Reinventing Yourself

We usually think of celebrity figures when we hear the term "Reinventing yourself".  A child actor who declares their all-grown-upness with overt sexuality.  A woman perpetually typecast in the victim role steps out in a bad-ass headliner role.   An athlete switching sports or taking on a corporate position with style.

We don't often think that we can reinvent our own selves.  Many of us wander through life, chained to the self-image that was created for us by others.  Perhaps the parent who said you weren't good enough, the teacher who said you'd never amount to anything, a spurned lover who said you would always be alone...

Don't stop - there's lots more good stuff...
